Kazakhstan's National Domain Registry KazNIC and International Organization DotAsia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Fighting Abuse in the Domain Name System (DNS).

In addition to the existing WHOIS service, the KazNIC platform provides the RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) service - a modern alternative to WHOIS designed to provide registration information about network resources in a format suitable for automated processing.

A registrar's cabinet has been created to provide information about the registrar's domain names in the Registry, the registrar's transactions with the Registry, and the status of settlements.

Launch of the .UZ domain zone root DNS server in Kazakhstan.

As part of the conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the .UZ domain, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the registries of national domains of Uzbekistan Uzinfocom and Kazakhstan KazNIC.

In connection with the transition to a single time zone UTC +05.00, maintenance work will be carried out from 23:00 on February 29 to 01:00 on March 1. May not work temporarily: portal nic.kz and its components, national domain name registry (EPP server).

On January 12, 2023, the national domains .KZ and .қаз were signed using DNSSEC technology. This allows DNS authentication to be more secure with digital signatures based on public key cryptography. The registry website published "DNSSEC Policy for .KZ and .қаз"
